The Age of Information

I use to have a blog a few years back when blogs first became all the rage, and got kind of bored with it maybe it was because no one read my blogs and i wasn't looking to write some kind of online diary I was looking to have a way to communicate to people and exchange ideas and opinions so I stopped blogging. With that said I have decided to give blogging another chance. I'm trying to create a communication link of like minded free-thinkers out there who want to be or active in trying to create real change in society. Also being a musician, I know there have to be more people out there than a few of friends who enjoy non-commercial and artistic music that is made out of creative impulse and not made to make a dollar. It seems nowadays that if you say you're a musician and you don't care about making money you're out of sync with the norms of the music industry and conventional commercial music, and that's ridiculous. I am so thankful for the musicians who are still out there creating music and playing because they love to do it and are not doing it for money and fame.

With that being said, below is a video of one of my favorite guitarists. Not many people know who Steve Hackett is, but he's an unbelievable guitarist and has been incredibly influential in popular music the past 35 years without being the spotlight. The song "Horizons" is a classical piece that Steve originally wrote and recorded when he was the guitarist for Genesis in the 70's.

After traveling and being on the east coast for most of the fall I've kind of decided to make my a crusade against the ignorance I have seen and stumbled upon in society. I feel like the Genesis song Afterglow suggests "Like the dust that settles all around me, I must find a new home." I feel like a changed person in a good way and I feel myself relating less to society than before, but at the same time relating more with individuals, and makes me feel even less for collectivism while I also acknowledge how we are all connected. My biggest fear lies in the state of our economic system. What I mean is I'm not afraid of the economy because it's in the toliet right now, what I'm afraid of is the system of our economy itself. I feel most people are totally unaware of how the economy works, and how bad our system really is. The federal reserve system is the biggest threat to freedom today in America and abroad. Yet no one cares or knows much if anything about the federal reserve. I started a political rally at a bar one night, while I was in Raleigh, NC about a month ago. I got called unamerican and one guy was bascially calling me a terrorist supporter because I said I supported Ron Paul and not coporate america's candidate McBama. It's important to note I also got called a fag in this same bar because I wore red nikes and had a soul patch which are apparently "faggy" down south. I get called a political extremist because I like and support Ron Paul, but do all those who think Ron Paul is a political extremist actually listen to what he has to say? Ron Paul is in fact really a populist, and his political crusade to uphold the constitution and save liberty is more centrist and best for the American people than any political candidate since Theodore Roosevelt.

With that being said, below is a video from cspan this week where Ron Paul nails the problems of the federal reserve and our economy right on the head, and ben bernanke is left with pants down. For those who don't like Ron Paul or think he's a nutjob please watch the video.
